RMLBC is a congregational church, meaning the congregation (under the headship of Christ) makes major church decisions together as a group. Each member, therefore, is significant in helping provide overall direction for the body.
Additionally, the congregation has approved the calling of various leaders to help guide the church and meet its needs. Our leadership function as servants of the church, taking their cue from Christ who willingly washed his disciples’ feet: John 13:14, “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.”

Erin Colvin, Children’s Director
Erin has been a member of RMLBC for many years, but the Lord has called her to work on the staff as Children’s Director. In this role Erin wears many hats including recruiting and organizing volunteers, training and encouraging teachers, planning children’s ministry events, and many others. As a certified teacher who has experience in the public school and as a believer who understands the importance of teaching children the clear biblical gospel, Erin is uniquely gifted for this role. Erin is married to Tyler, and they have three sons, Levi, Jay, and Finn.
Heidi Brack, Worship Leader
Heidi began serving as RMLBC’s worship leader during the summer of 2017. She is an experienced actress, performing in a number of local productions and serving with the Birmingham Children’s Theatre. At RMLBC, Heidi uses her vocal gifts, leadership skills, and charismatic personality to bring glory to God by pointing others to his throne. She is married to John “T” (go, Tarheels!), and they have one child, Archie. T and Heidi are also foster parents.
