Leadership

RMLBC is a congregational church, meaning the congregation, under the headship of Christ, makes major church decisions together as a group. Each member is significant in helping provide overall direction for the body.

Additionally, the congregation has approved the calling of various leaders to help guide the church and meet its needs, including our pastor, children’s director, youth director, a non-vocational elder, and a board of deacons.

Our leadership are servants of the church, taking their cue from Christ who willingly washed his disciples’ feet: John 13:14, “If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.”

Here’s a little more about our pastor and staff:

Jason Dollar, Pastor

Jason is focused on developing disciples for the glory of God. He is passionate about preaching God’s Word and loving God’s people. He was trained at Southeastern Bible College and Birmingham Theological Seminary. In addition to authoring his own books, Jason has updated for modern readers several of the key works of Jonathan Edwards (1703–1758), including The End for Which God Created the World. When not working, Jason loves spending time with his wife Page and their five children: Noah, Anna, Mary, Isaac, and Eden.

Erin Colvin, Children’s Director

Erin has been a member of RMLBC for many years, but the Lord has called her to work on the staff as Children’s Director. In this role, Erin wears many hats including recruiting and organizing volunteers, training and encouraging teachers, planning children’s ministry events, and many others. As a public school teacher and a believer who understands the importance of teaching children the clear biblical gospel, Erin is uniquely gifted for this role. She is married to Tyler, and they have three sons: Levi, Jay, and Finn.

Luke Sellers, Youth Director

Luke loves the Lord and the Word, and he loves to help students come to know the Lord and the Word. With God’s help, he is seeking to build a youth program where students and becoming disciples who make other disciples. Though he is busy—working a full-time job and taking Bible college courses—he is committed to the task of leading young people to the cross. Luke is engaged to be married to Zoey Nabors, who is also a valuable part of our student ministry.
