There’s something about fall in Alabama. The air turns crisp, the leaves start to glow with color, and families begin to look for something to do together before the holidays rush in. That’s one reason we’re so excited for our annual Fall Festival at Rock Mountain Lakes Baptist Church on Sunday, October 19, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
For many years, this festival has been a highlight of our church’s calendar. It's a time when hundreds from our community gather for a night of games, great food, hayrides, and laughter. The sound of children running from booth to booth, the smell of popcorn and corndogs, the glow of the sunset behind the trees—all of it combines to remind us of God’s good gifts. It’s a joyful, family-friendly evening.

But there’s more to this event than fun. We see the Fall Festival as a bridge. That is, it's a way to connect the familiar “spooky season” excitement of fall with the far greater story of hope found in Christ. As our folks enjoy the hayride and games, our goal is to show something deeper: a people shaped by grace, rejoicing in the God who took on flesh, walked among us, and still changes lives today. The festival is one small picture of the kingdom of God, where joy, generosity, and community point toward the gospel.

If you’ve never visited our church before, this is a wonderful time to come. Bring your kids, invite your friends, and enjoy the fun. And when the evening is over, we hope you’ll join us again on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM as we worship, study God’s Word, and grow together.
