The RMLBC Story

As a pastor, so much of my joy comes from watching the story of our congregation unfold and telling that story. It is a story of a people worshipping Christ together, serving in ministry together, and living life together. Ultimately, it is the story of God's faithfulness.

Rock Mountain Lakes Baptist Church is a congregation in action. There are so many moving parts that sometimes I have a hard time keeping up. From our children's ministry, which just finished its 2026 VBS, to our senior adults, who enjoy rich fellowship in Christ, everywhere you look, things are happening.

Our youth group just returned from their MFuge camp experience, where they served alongside other believers to minister to the least of these.

Our Peru team is gearing up for yet another mission trip to South America, where we intend to reach out to children in distress with the gospel and meet some of their physical needs.

Our Thursday Prayer Team is faithful to bring specific needs before the Lord in detail.

Our Sunday School classes are connecting people around the Word of God faithfully every week.

Our praise team rehearses relentlessly to help bring the congregation before the Lord in praise and worship.

Our men's ministry has planned fellowship events for the entire church to facilitate friendships and connections, along with meeting weekly for a Bible study in 1 Peter.

Behind the scenes, our deacons, finance team, and other leaders are doing their part to keep things running. Meanwhile, our buildings and grounds team and janitorial staff consistently keep our property looking pristine and welcoming. (I could list a lot more)

The Apostle Paul teaches us that the church functions like a body. "For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ" (1 Corinthians 12:12). We see this diversity within unity in real time at RMLBC. Many of our folks are ministering to the body in many different ways, but it all comes together in one unified mission to glorify God. I'm a thankful pastor.

Each week at our worship services, we have an average attendance of 84 people. Sometimes I feel like that's all we can handle! But that's not true. I am sure there are many in our area who need exactly what we have at RMLBC. They need the friendships, the connections with other believers, the focused time in the Bible, and the genuine corporate worship and praise of God that we try to foster and facilitate. Who do you know that might need just these things?

Only the Lord, who is our Great Shepherd (Psalm 23; John 10), knows what the next chapter in the story of RMLBC will include. We submit ourselves to Him. We thank Him for Jesus, who makes it all possible. All I know is that it is a high privilege to be a part of a church family that exists for His glory and to share life with the people He has placed in our flock. It's quite the story!
